the reason for not using HA fillers

Biostimulators

wt CONCEPT 5 Timeless Solutions

Let’s put it this way: I’m not a fan of artificial looks. That’s not to say that HA (Hyaluronic Acid) fillers can’t produce natural-looking results—they absolutely can. However, the unnatural appearances often referred to as "pillow face," "duck lips," and so on typically result from the overuse of HA fillers and filler migration.

Biostimulators do not fill folds, lines, or hollowness in the face. Instead, they work by thickening the skin and promoting tissue growth through your own collagen production. Unlike HA fillers, which are crosslinked into gels of varying consistencies, liquid-form biostimulators such as Sculptra® have an almost zero* chance of causing vascular occlusion (VO)—a rare complication of all injections, including fat transfers, which can lead to severe consequences such as tissue death or blindness.

*The chance of a VO (vascular occlusion) is positively correlated with the viscosity of the injected solution. In other words, the thicker the solution, the higher the chance of VO. During our consultation, we can discuss any concerns you may have about VO, and I’ll explain the precautions I take to minimize these risks.

PLLA (Poly-L-lactic acid)

Sculptra® has come a long way since its FDA approval for aesthetic uses in 2009. The biggest problem with Sculptra® is that it's a powder

PDRN is a biostimulator derived from salmon DNA,

Viscosity: close to saline (salt water)

VO risk: Low

Radiesse®

 CaHA (Calcium hydroxylapatite)

The only filler used on the face at Hyline is Radiesse®, a calcium based biostimulator capable of mimicking bone growth when place on the right depth. This is a high risk filler for getting vascular occlusions (VO) that's non-reversable. It would come after the completion of the Reversal Plan if needed,  and will be performed under ultrasound guidance for proper depth placement and also to minimize the risk of VO.

Viscosity: close to toothpaste

VO risk: High

Pain: moderate
